Unlike the Aventadors that came before it, the LP 750-4 goes topless. It’s instantly one of the most powerful convertibles we’ve ever seen. The new Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 is powered by a 6.5 liter V12 engine that produces 750 horsepower under the pedal. From a standing start, it’ll crack 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds before topping out at 217 mph. It’s what you’d expect out of an Aventador, producing a crazy amount of speed to throw past you with the top down. The “top” of the LP 750-4 occupies a few feet of overhead space between the windshield and the crown of the head rests. This is covered by a carbon fiber roof panel that can be wholly removed for sunny day driving. The rest of the SuperVeloce Roadster version is classic Lamborghini Aventador. It’s sharp, angular and faceted by design, with an appearance that is intimidating as the sound its engine produces. Lamborghini hasn’t broken the mold much with this design. Can you blame them? I certainly don’t. The Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SuperVeloce Roadster will be coming in Spring 2016 for those of you who can afford its $500k price tag. Just let us know if you need a copilot for the test drive. [lamborghini]
