Long-time readers of TheCoolist will recognize our addiction to night photography, especially cities at night. Photographer Jakob Wagner is doing some brilliant work in this area, especially his latest series called Nightscapes. Wagner’s work takes him to cities across the globe– from Amsterdam to Neustift to Cape Town, South Africa. Wagner captures these cities in their nightly slumber, from a perspective that includes the natural landscape upon which these cities rest. The resulting images are bold, blue and beautiful, reflecting a philosophy that the cities themselves are a natural result of the evolution of the land around them.
