If you’ve had your ear to the ground, you’ve likely heard the name Alexander Kotlyarevsky when it comes to luxury car design concepts. The Italian designer has worked on the Alfa Romeo Pandion concept, the Bertone Mantide and others in his young career in automotive concept design. His latest solo work, the Bentley R Type Concept, is a stunning yet truly accessible concept in the world of luxury autos. While he pushes for clear progress in terms of Bentley design, there’s nothing far-fetched about this concept. Beyond the eye candy rims and the slightly overdone grille, there’s nothing about the Bentley R Type Concept that doesn’t look like it could roll out of a production facility. However, we might suggest giving those headlights some re-consideration. Kotlyarevsky suggests that his Bentley R Type concept would be powered by an 8.0L V8 engine pushing 800 horses. While a rendered engine can’t give a real claim for performance stats, we’re confident that the R Type could do some damage on the track of Kotlyarevsky gets his wish. Regardless, we’re excited to see more of Alexander Kotlyarevsky’s work in the future, in hopes that he gives a few in-house design teams a run for their money.
